GlucosAlarm, one of the participants in the ZeroTo510 accelerator, won first place in the international Tech-I competition, held in Nairobi, Kenya, July 24.
GlucosAlarm was founded in Chihuahua, Mexico, and has developed a device to measure glucose in the urine of diabetic patients. It was one of 30 companies selected for the competition. There were 15 idea stage and 15 startups participating in the event.
ZeroTo510, which is run by the Memphis Bioworks Foundation, will hold its Demo Day Aug. 13. During the event, the four participating startups will pitch to a group of potential investors.
